SVG path editor

Paste a path d string, preview it live, then scale, move, flip, round or reverse it and export the result as an SVG.

About this tool

The editor parses the path with its own parser and rewrites the coordinates directly, so no drawing library is involved. Scale, translate, flip and rounding work on the common path commands (M, L, H, V, C, S, Q, T, A and Z, absolute and relative). Reversing the path direction is segment-aware and is only offered for paths built from absolute M, L, C and Z commands; if a path uses other commands, the reverse button explains that and leaves the path unchanged. The preview viewBox is fitted automatically to the transformed points, which is an approximation for curves because it uses control points as well as endpoints.

Common questions

Why did reverse refuse to run on my path? Reverse is implemented for absolute M, L, C and Z segments. Paths using arcs, quadratic curves, smooth commands or relative commands are left unchanged rather than reversed incorrectly.

Does flipping change the file size or start point? Flipping negates the relevant coordinates around the origin (0,0), so the shape mirrors across the axis and may move in the preview. Use translate afterwards to reposition it.
