Open a product CSV, get a row-by-row issue report against Shopify's standard columns, apply safe fixes, and download the cleaned file.
This tool targets the standard Shopify product CSV format, the column layout Shopify documents for product imports, including Handle, Title, Body (HTML), Vendor, Option1 Name, Option1 Value, Variant SKU, Variant Price and Image Src. It uses a proper CSV parser that handles quoted fields containing commas and line breaks, which is where spreadsheet-style splitting usually corrupts product data. It then reports rows missing a Handle or Title, duplicate handles, non-numeric variant prices, and rows where Option1 Name is present but Option1 Value is blank. Three safe fixes are offered: trimming whitespace, filling a blank Option1 Value with Default Title, and dropping fully-empty rows. Checks are structural only, Shopify makes the final decision on whether an import succeeds, and variant and inventory rules depend on the store's setup.
Which columns does this tool check? It looks for Shopify's standard product import columns: Handle, Title, Body (HTML), Vendor, Option1 Name, Option1 Value, Variant SKU, Variant Price and Image Src. Missing columns are listed in the report, and the row checks run on whichever of the checked columns are present.
Will the cleaned file definitely import? No tool can promise that. The checks here are structural, handles, titles, prices and option values, and Shopify makes the final decision during import, including rules that depend on the store. Import the cleaned file, then read Shopify's import summary for anything remaining.
