Open or paste a DXF file and convert its drawing entities into a clean SVG with a fitted viewBox.
The converter reads the ENTITIES section of an ASCII DXF and handles LINE, CIRCLE, ARC, LWPOLYLINE, POLYLINE with VERTEX records, and POINT entities. SPLINE entities are approximated by their control polygon (the polyline through their control points), which follows the general shape but is not the true spline curve. Entity types it does not handle, such as TEXT, INSERT blocks, HATCH and DIMENSION, are skipped and counted in the report. Layer colours and lineweights are not carried over; every shape is drawn with the same blue stroke so the geometry can be checked in the preview.
Why are some parts of my drawing missing? Only the entity types listed above are converted. Text, blocks (INSERT), hatching and dimensions are skipped, and the report shows how many entities were skipped.
Why does my spline look angular? SPLINE entities are drawn through their control points as a polyline rather than evaluated as a true spline curve, so they appear as a simplified polygon of the curve.
