Open a 3MF file to preview the model it contains, with a rotatable shaded view, triangle count and dimensions.
The file is opened locally in your browser and is never uploaded.
A 3MF file is a ZIP archive whose main part is an XML model file listing vertices and triangles. This viewer unzips the archive in your browser, reads that model part, combines the objects listed in the build section, and applies object and build transforms where they are present (identity where they are not). Supported scope: standard 3MF production files with triangle meshes, which covers files exported by common slicers and CAD tools. Extensions such as materials, textures, colours and beam or slice extensions are not rendered, and very large archives are limited by browser memory. The model itself is drawn with flat blue shading, with an optional wireframe overlay.
What is inside a 3MF file? A 3MF file is a ZIP archive. Its 3D model part is XML that lists vertices and triangles per object, plus a build section saying which objects are printed and where they sit.
Does this viewer support colours and materials from a 3MF? No. This viewer renders geometry only, in a single shaded colour. Material, texture and colour extensions are ignored so the shape can be checked quickly.
Is my file uploaded for unzipping? No. The archive is unzipped locally with a JavaScript ZIP library running in your browser tab.
